Here’s how I’m feeling and what I’ve learned

I am the kind of person that struggles to get shit done (aka procrastinates) unless I have a set deadline.

I’ve always been this way, which drove my mother crazy.

But lo and behold, I was top of my class, and procrastination never really hurt me.

It still doesn’t…UNLESS, it’s a personal goal I’m trying to reach.

Because, how is the procrastinator going to hold the procrastinator accountable for getting shit done?

So, at 31 years old, I decided to start a 75 hard challenge.

For those of you who don’t know what that is, here is a link to a great article about it: https://andyfrisella.com/pages/75hard-info

My challenge is modified, because some of what is in the “real” challenge just doesn’t fit my needs or goals.

Here’s what my challenge looks like:

20 minutes of yoga

Take my supplements

Workout, run, or walk

Read 1 nonfiction article

Write at least 250 words

Play with my daughter for a uninterrupted 30’minutes (no tech)

Work real estate in some fashion (I’m a realtor, also)

Journal

These are the things that are important I me, and things I struggle with completely daily.

I already eat a mostly vegan diet and drink minimal alcohol, so I wasn’t really interested in doing those things as a challenge, because I already do them, and what’s the fun in that?

So after 15 days of the challenge, how am I feeling?

Fucking accomplished. I think the only other times I have felt this accomplished in my life was making an A in French 2 in college, and getting my masters degree.

It seems so insignificant, and maybe it is. But it sure doesn’t feel like it.
